WAI OUTSTANDING YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARDS

WAI Outstanding Young Scientist Award (OYSA) is established to recognize a Young Scientist for outstanding achievements and potentials working in the technical area covered by WAI in an early period of their career either in academia or industry, age up to 38. The award comes with a plaque and a certificate.

To qualify applications for the OYSA, the applicant shall:

Be less than 38 (male) or 40 (female) years old on Nov. 1, 2026;
Have made outstanding achievements and/or demonstrate great potentials in the technical area covered by WAI;
Register and attend the WAI 2026.

To participate in the OYSA competition, eligible candidates should apply by checking the award option during online registration.

A curriculum vitae with publication list must also be submitted if the award option is checked. Five to eight awardees will be selected by the WAI Outstanding Young Scientist Program Committee in 2026. The deadline for the OYSA application is November 2, 2026.
